The Probably Not The Last Word About Noble

Bryl Tyne

Bryl Tyne was an editor with Noble and has written a blog post that is more eloquent and painful than anything I've read about this whole mess.

I'll reiterate that I had only one title with them and it wasn't a much beloved one, at that. But this... this is what happens when a publisher messes up and leaves people with unfulfilled promises.

And when Jill Noble called the people she was working with 'unprofessional' and 'trash', tell me what you think after reading what Bryl has to say.

  2. Wow. I've only read parts of this saga since you first posted Lori, but I just read all of Bryl's post.

I don't even know where to begin. As someone who was in a similar situation (although not about writing) where the 'higher ups' promised hte world but then failed to deliver and screwed us all over royally, I can most definitely sympathise.

All I can say is that the business might have had Noble in the title but they seem to have been anything but. I can only feel sorry for the new company this Jill person is going to as the reputation she has just earnt herself is going to do them no favours.

I wish Bryl and the others like her who actually went over and beyond to help the writers, and the writers themselves every success in finding some kind of resolution to this.

It won't make up for the hurt and loss of monies etc but it might be nice to know that sometimes the good guys CAN win.

As for the rest, all I can say is Karma is a bitch.
