It's barbecue time!!
This year I have a grill, so I won't have to go to the local BBQ place and stock up. I also have a male to run the grill.
Do you get creative with your holiday menus? We'll probably have potato salad, hamburgers and hotdogs, baked beans and watermelon. I'm definitely open to suggestions though, as long as they come with the recipe. (I don't cook well)
Oh!! I just had a thought - believe I'll make a cheesecake too. It's so easy even I can do it.
So what're your plans? I just hope none of you have to dive into the holiday traffic. A definite bummer.
I think I'll be grilling chicken and corn on the cob. I can stay on point with calories and also have all the yummy grill stuff.
ReplyDeleteI do want to wade into the morass of humanity and see fireworks on the 4th. Wish us luck with that.
Carolyn, if I go north a few thousand clicks and turn left at Alburquerque, do you think I will be there in time for lunch?
ReplyDeleteI wish! Sounds yummy. I would join you in spirit but I'm like an icicle at the minute and can't thaw my fingers out long enough to light a match so bbq'ing is out. Bummer... Have a snag for me :D
Lori, good luck with the melding of hte masses. Hope to see you again before Christmas...
:D
