Carolyn and I were talking about books the other day and she mentioned how prices (as always) keep going up and that she'll only purchase certain authors at a higher price point (we're talking $10.99 and over).
I asked her for her list of auto-buy authors and here it is:

DeleteI need to read more of the Grace Dravens I have in the TBR cordillera--and I agree wholeheartedly on Kelley Armstrong. I have only read one or two Kylie Scots, and I'm not sure why I haven't read more--I believe there are at least a couple of titles in the TBR. And I really need to get to the several C.S. Harris on the shelf (I have physical copies, even!)
ReplyDeleteOn book prices: what kills me is that now publishers are pricing digital books over the cost of the physical object--like, you can get the paperback, even if it's trade, by oh, say around $12? then the digital book will be $15. And some of them are category-length! For a license that amazon can revoke if they want to! It's really beyond enraging.
