A Victim of Sexism

In Defense of Hillary

  1. I love how well written, thorough and complete (going back to the early nineties, dammit!) that piece is. Thank you for bringing it to our attention, I've already posted a link to it to another forum.

  2. That was amazing. And it truly clears some cobwebs.

What I loved was his distinction that Hillary's popularity drops when she asks for power but once she's established with power, she does just fine.

It really is about a lot more than Hillary Clinton. It made me recognize how easy it is to work for a business and do just fine until you say, "hey I want" and then everything changes.

Women might deserve better pay, better jobs, more respect... but they better not ask for those things because then they're just being strident, pushy bitches.

    1. Exactly.

Not too long ago some imbecile CEO said something about how women should continue doing the best they could, but should not ask for raises or promotions, because karma would reward them (he did use the word karma). Because obviously, karma will pay the mortgage and utilities, yeah?

  4. Carolyn, you have no idea. I finally told my brother that he's been depressing me to the point that I've been in tears. That I can't accept the bleak world view he has.

I have to learn how to shutter him. He and Fox News are afraid of the world, see enemies where none exist. The open arms of America, in their eyes, are welcoming only people who want to kill us.

My grandfather came from Russia, my daughter from China and I'll be damned if I'll ever carry such a negative world view.
